The first thing he will learn after his birth, is to recognize the scratches of his mother’s posterior! Indeed, each Zebra has unique stripes that are the equivalent of fingerprints in humans. Once acquired, he will be able to find her in the middle of the flock. Until the age of 2-3, the zebra is surrounded and protected by the herd, after which he will have to leave his family to settle in a new group.
